The success of your business
may depend upon the success of your business neighbor. Think
about it: Traffic into your neighbor's business can generate
consumer traffic for your business. The overall success of a
business district is dependent upon the whole environment.
Get to know what's going on around you. Meet the business people in your district. You have much in common. There are new faces and fresh ideas and familiar faces with many years of experience to draw upon. Each business community member has valuable resources to share.
Shop and patronize the businesses in your community. Tax dollars benefit you, your business, your community and your neighbor.

HAMMOND DOWNTOWN BUSINESS
PROMOTERS has received a grant from the Tangipahoa
Tourism and Film Commission to print a brochure style visitor's guide to
Downtown Hammond. It is planned to participate in a joint venture
with Downtown Development District to have one brochure to
distribute in Interstate Visitors' Centers, the Tourist
Commission, the train station, hotels, and motels, in
campgrounds, and around town to promote tourism.

Packet
Your HDBP's president has
put together a promotion packet of those who responded to the
Downtown Development District's inquiry. This packet will be
given to tourists through Tourist Commission.
If you did not respond, it's not too late. Email us and your business will be included in the updated packet. A great promotion is a coupon for a freebie or a buy one-get one free. Retailers with larger ticket items might offer a discount on certain items. You may stipulate an expiration date.
Special
Events
In
cooperative effort our group is able to promote special events
like Gallery Stroll, Doin' Downtown and The Summer's Sizzle
Passport Program. (More to come about this one)
